Terms of use

Draft, under review. Last updated 14 October 2026.

The audit

gtmspy audits a store's tracking from its public website. Results describe what our browser observed on the day of the scan. Checks we couldn't complete are marked “not measured”. An audit is not legal advice and not a guarantee of compliance.

Fair use

  • Don't run automated or bulk scans, or resell results, without our written agreement.
  • Don't publish another company's results in a way that misrepresents them.
  • We may limit or refuse scans to keep the service working for everyone.

Handover Access

Handover Access gives an agency access to a business's marketing accounts (Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Google Ads, Merchant Center, Meta and others) when the business asks it to, using the business's own sign-in with each platform.

  • If you share access, you confirm you are allowed to manage those accounts and to give the agency access. The access is between you and the agency, under the platform's terms and your agreement with the agency; gtmspy is not a party to it. You can remove it in the platform at any time.
  • If you send links as an agency, you confirm you will ask only for access you need for work the client has agreed to, and you won't use Handover Access to mislead anyone into giving access.
  • Platforms decide whether a share works. We show their answer, but we can't guarantee a platform will accept it, or that its features stay the same.
  • We may switch off links or accounts that are misused.

Liability

The free audit and Handover Access are provided as they are. We take care to be accurate, but we aren't liable for decisions made on its results, to the extent the law allows.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
